The Institute for Development, Environment and Energy (IDE-E) is currently leading the implementation of the Phu Yen for Zero Waste project in partnership with Vietnamese (GreenHub), Swiss (IDE-E, EAWAG/ Sandec, Urbaplan.) and French (IRD) organisations and support from the Swiss and French Governments, including the Cities of Basel and Paris. In Phu Yen, the main institutional partners are the Provincial Government, the Tuy Hoa City Government, the DONRE, and the local waste management company (URENCO). The project aims to support provincial efforts to drastically reduce and effectively manage solid waste. This includes through supporting the development of viable recycling solutions, including the production of bio-detergent from organic waste.
IDE-E is currently seeking a Market Research Consultant to support the completion of a market assessment for bio-detergent in Phu Yen province and wider Vietnam. The assessment is expected to commence in June 2023 and take 25 working days. The main deliverable of the assignment is a Market Assessment Report detailing the results of the assessment and providing recommendations for increasing bio-detergent’s share of the local household cleaning products market and improving the viability of bio-detergent businesses.
